We are Loving Arms Cancer Outreach, Inc.

Loving Arms Cancer Outreach is a non-profit organization in possession of our 5O1C3 charitable status. We support individuals and their families throughout their cancer journey. We provide wraparound services through support groups, access to education and resources, and financial assistance to families struggling financially due to their cancer treatment. We believe providing these services will significantly ease stress for our clients and allow them to focus on their recovery and their families.

Loving Arms Cancer Outreach was founded in 2011 by Diana Hurst and Shamichael Traylor, oncology nurses with a combined 35-plus years of experience in caring for cancer patients. In hearing the needs of those receiving chemo infusions, they started by quietly paying for parking, giving gas money, or paying a bill. Then they decided there was a bigger need than they could carry alone, and thus Loving Arms was born. We have a heart for cancer patients and want to make their journey a little easier.

With the economy and the uncertain healthcare industry, the concerns of cancer patients are growing. Having cancer is difficult enough, they should not have to worry about gas, power bills etc. We aim to provide our clients with financial assistance to help offset the additional expenses that arise with a cancer diagnosis. Loving Arms serves each year on average over 450 individuals fighting a variety of cancer diagnosis.

Currently we help people with any cancer diagnosis that have undergone some type of treatment within the last 18 months that reside in the following counties in Georgia:

Your financial support enables Loving Arms to provide assistance for those living with cancer.  An unexpected side effect of a cancer diagnosis is the financial burden that comes with fighting this disease.  When you combine increasing medical bills with lost wages, even managing day to day expenses becomes a struggle.

Loving Arms embraces patients throughout their cancer journey. Every service in our outreach program is designed to empower cancer patients and help their families at no charge.
