Loving Arms Cancer Outreach’s Newsletter: February
Happy New Year! I hope you all have had a great start to the year. Loving Arms Cancer Outreach is excited to see what this new year brings. Dancing With The Stars of Cobb County was such a successful event that we have decided to make it an annual event! We raised almost $40,000 thanks to so many of you and our fabulous dancers, instructors, sponsors and many volunteers. If you know a local star that would like to dance at this year’s event, please send us an email. Make sure you put September 26th on your calendar!!

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week so far has been grand. If your day could use a little pick-me-up, you should definitely give this week’s recipe a try! Mocha Cappuccino Pudding Pie. There is nothing but goodness in this pie, as the title shows. Plus, it’s super simple!
Tasty Tuesday: Pasta with Tomato Sauce
Welcome to Loving Arms Cancer Outreach’s first edition of Tasty Tuesdays! We want to provide cancer patients and families options for healthy, delicious meals. For the next couple weeks, we’ll be working our way through Eating Well Through Cancer by Holly Clegg & Gerald Mietello, M.D. It’s a great resource for finding the right foods to eat for the right ailments.
The book walks you through foods to eat the day of Chemotherapy, if you are experiencing low white blood cell count, diarrhea, constipation, sore mouth or throat, if you need to gain some weigh, and what to eat post treatment. There is even a section of suggested meals to bring to a friend experiencing cancer. It’s got a little bit of something for everyone!
