GATHERING OF FRIENDS, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2015 by Garry Harley when he lost his wife Teresa to cancer. Garry wanted to remember Teresa and saw the opportunity for friends to gather, enjoy a friendly game of golf and raise money to benefit the fight against cancer. 

As we have grown, we began having a Silent Auction in addition to the Golf Tournament. Our focus was on breast cancer but we realized there is a need right here in our own community with our neighbors and friends dealing with ALL types of cancer. So, we partnered with Loving Arms Cancer Outreach who works with families in our community helping them financially as they go through their cancer journey. Last year we raised $70,020, the year before $62,500, in 2022, we raised $52,000, 2021 we raised $52,000 and in 2020 we raised $40,000. Lets keep this trend going!

 This year our GATHERING OF FRIENDS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT AND SILENT AUCTION will be held again in October. The Silent Auction will be Friday night, October 10th at the Tavern at Towne Lake from 6-8pm and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The Golf Tournament will be Saturday, October 11th at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club with 7:30 check in and a 9:00 shotgun start. Followed by lunch for all the golfers.

Registration will begin on September 1st and can either be done online here or in the Pro shop at the golf course.
